Mission Statement
The Diane Conklin Foundation has been established to provide compassion, support, coping strategies and life skills for the purpose of strengthening the homeless and at-risk youth, particularly those that are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered. In collaboration with existing youth organizations, communities and individuals, the foundation’s mission is to provide the necessary life skills and resources to help these youth excel as productive citizens. Diane Conklin, and the foundation she has organized, draws on her success as a business woman and addresses the need for a shift in mindset. The education, support and training available to the gay youth at The Diane Conklin Foundation help them understand being gay does not have to be a roadblock to success, but the platform from which they may thrive.
Lesbian? Gay? Bisexual? Transgender? Questioning?
This can be a confusing, frustrating and often heart wrenching time.
You are not alone.
Whether you’re struggling to be heard, fighting to become the person you know you are or striving for excellence, The Diane Conklin Foundation can help you achieve your heart’s desires. Please also know we are not an exclusive club. If you’re a straight teen who is struggling with the trials that being an adolescent brings, if you’re homeless and need a hand to pull you up, we want to help. Above all, we want you to know, you matter!
